CTET February 2026 Notification – Apply Online

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the official notification for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) February 2026. Eligible candidates can apply online from 27 November 2025 to 18 December 2025 (11:59 PM). This national-level exam determines the eligibility of teachers for Classes 1 to 8 in central government schools like KVS, NVS, and many private schools.

The CTET 2026 Exam will be held on 08 February 2026 (Sunday) in two shifts for Paper I and Paper II as per the official notification PDF

Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility is as per NCTE norms. Candidates must verify detailed educational qualifications as required for Primary & Upper Primary teachers.

For CTET Paper I (Class 1–5)

  • Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with 50% marks + 2-year D.El.Ed
    OR
  • Senior Secondary with 50% + 4-year B.El.Ed
    OR
  • Senior Secondary with 45% + D.El.Ed (NCTE norms)
    OR
  • Graduation + 2-year D.El.Ed

For CTET Paper II (Class 6–8)

  • Graduation + 2-year D.El.Ed
    OR
  • Graduation with 50% + B.Ed
    OR
  • Graduation with 45% + B.Ed (NCTE norms)
    OR
  • Senior Secondary with 50% + 4-year B.El.Ed / B.A.B.Ed / B.Sc.B.Ed
