Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL), a Maharatna PSU and one of the largest transmission utilities in the world, has announced the recruitment of 1543 Field Engineers and Field Supervisors on a contract basis. The recruitment will be conducted through the POWERGRID Common FTE Written Test 2025 across India. Eligibility, Education Qualification & Experience
- Field Engineer (Electrical/Civil)
- Full-time B.E./B.Tech./B.Sc. (Engg.) with minimum 55% marks in relevant discipline.
- Minimum 1-year post-qualification experience in Design/Construction/Testing/Commissioning in Power/Transmission sector.
- Field Supervisor (Electrical/Civil/Electronics & Communication)
- Full-time Diploma in relevant discipline with minimum 55% marks.
- Minimum 1-year post-qualification experience in Construction/Testing/Commissioning/Electrical/Civil/Telecom works.
- Higher technical qualifications (like B.E./B.Tech./M.Tech.) are not allowed for Supervisor posts.
Age Limit (as on 17-09-2025)
- Maximum Age: 29 years
- Age relaxation as per Govt. of India rules:
- OBC (NCL): +3 years
- SC/ST: +5 years
- PwBD: +10 years (UR/EWS), +13 years (OBC), +15 years (SC/ST)
- Ex-Servicemen/Victims of Riots: As per Govt. norms
Salary
- Field Engineer: ₹30,000 – 1,20,000 (Approx. CTC: ₹8.9 LPA)
- Field Supervisor: ₹23,000 – 1,05,000 (Approx. CTC: ₹6.8 LPA)
- Additional Benefits: HRA, DA, Perks, Medical, Insurance, EPF, Leave benefits, etc.
